JOHN’S – After a two-year absence from the West Indies T20 side, Sunil Narine make a return for the home series against India.
Also being recalled is his countryman Kieron Pollard.
The 14-member squad also includes Andre Russell whose inclusion is subject to a fitness test. The only newcomer to the team is wicketkeeper/batsman Anthony Bramble, 28, who captained the West Indies “B” to the finals of the Global T20 Tournament in Canada, last year. He has been drafted to the Guyana Amazon Warriors to play for the first time in the Caribbean Premier League in September.
Narine last played in a T20 for the West Indies against England at Chester-le-Street two years ago, while Pollard was in the squad as recent as last November in India.
West Indies play India in three T20 games at Broward County Stadium in Florida on August 3 and 4 and then at the Guyana National Stadium on August 6.
