Musical Send off for Plummer

MUSIC icon Denyse Plummer Boocock will have a final send-off, the way in which she impacted the nation, through music.

The service of Thanksgiving and Praise in Celebration of the life of the former calypso monarch, gospel singer and national awardee takes place with a prelude at 9 am, followed by the service at 10 am, and a postlude at 11.30am all at the Queen’s Hall, St. Ann’s on Wednesday.

A media release on Monday informed the public that among the artists for the service are Dr Len ‘Boogsie’ Sharpe, Pastor Christopher Tambu Herbert, the St Hilaire Brothers, Wendy Sheppard, D’Piano Girl Johanna, Wendell Constantine, Los Alumnos de San Juan, John Thomas and the Believe Artist Collective. 

During the service there will be a video feature on the life of the late national cultural ambassador courtesy of JCD and Associates, Reverend Angela Williams will deliver the Exhortation, the Goretti Group will pay tribute to their former choir member with the hymn Hear O Lord, Minister Sean Daniel will lead a segment of praise and worship before a final tribute led by Minister Mahalia Pierre of Denyse’s 2019 Gospel Remix “Ah Cyah Leave Him”.

The Phase II Pan Groove, the North West Laventille Cultural Movement and the Central Stars Tassa Group will also be part of the final procession for the former calypso monarch and national awardee. 

A private interment will follow the Service of Thanksgiving and Praise.
