FROM Carnival Saturday to Carnival Tuesday, seven persons have been murdered.
The latest murder victims have been identified as Elvis Anthony Pearson, 38 and Brad Keon Thomas, 30 from Morvant.
Reports are that around 4.51 pm, police officers were on a joint patrol in the North Eastern Division with two members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force when they received information about a shooting at Second Caledonia, Vegas, Morvant.
Upon arriving at the scene a few minutes later, they found two men lying motionless on the ground of an unfinished house.
Three other persons ages 25, 43, and 44, were also injured in the incident and taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for treatment.
On Friday, a double murder occurred along Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook. The victims were identified as mason Atiba Rodriguez, 37, of Romain Lands, Morvant, and Jessie or Javon of Morvant.
On Saturday, Sherlon Cooper, 28 of Block P, Embacadere was shot and killed.
Reports are that Cooper was liming near his home around 7 pm when he was shot several times about the body by a gunman.
He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he died.
Owen Danzell, 47, of Cocoyea Village and Terrence Rawlins, 43, of Plaisance Park and Princes Town were shot and killed while liming with another man.
Additionally on Saturday, the body of an African male was found in some bushes off Windsor Road, Wallerfield bearing gunshot wounds to the face.
