DESPITE choppy seas, Motul Monster attains victory in the 130 miles per hour (mph) category of the Trinidad and Tobago Power Boat Association’s (TTPBA) 54th International Great Race on Saturday.
Driven by Joey Sabeeney with throttleman Peter Peake, Motul Monster was the first boat to enter Store Bay, Tobago, from the Mucurapo Foreshore, Trinidad, with Joshua Sabeeney in charge of communications and Daniel Peake in navigations.
On their Facebook page, the team thanked Jason and Scot Pollonais for lending them an outdrive after theirs which contributed to their victory.
Team Molut Monster also thanked the crew of Nick Gomes, Robin Geofry, Paul Jean-Charles and Chris Peake.
However, this was the team’s second consecutive victory in the 130 mph, as they also won the 2021 Great Race.
The race started with a total of 25 boats, however, Mr Solo’s route was cut short reportedly due to engine problems which made him unable to complete the race.
