GOVERNMENT has increased bed capacity for children suffering with Covid-19
This was revealed by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh at the virtual press conference of his ministry on Wednesday.
He said Heritage Petroleum has granted use of a building to house eight children in south Trinidad and there was an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facility in Arima as the ministry increased hospital capacity for children.
He also pleaded with adults to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and with the booster shot as vaccinated adults can better protect children under 12 who at the moment cannot be vaccinated against the virus.
