The Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Kazim Hosein extends condolences to the family and friends of police constable Anisha Sookdeo.
On Tuesday Sookdeo was with Cpl Keith Alexander and constable Diana Seetaram were involved in a crash along the the Priority Bus Route in D’Abadie.
Reports indicated that they were involved in a crash with a maxi taxi along the eastbound lane of the PBR around 5 pm.
Vidoes and photos shared on social media showed residents sitting on chairs near crash and views the first responders as they attended to the victims.
It was also reported that the driver of both vehicles suffered only non-life threatening injuries.
Sookdeo was married a few weeks ago.
