A STRONG tropical wave is being monitored by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS).
The TTMS on Thursday morning posted on its social media pages at 9.05 am that it has been monitoring the wave which is approximately 3,600 km east of Trinidad and Tobago and the Lesser Antilles at that time.
“The potential for development of this system into a tropical cyclone has been upgraded by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) to a 20% chance over the next 48 hours and a 60% chance through the next five days,” TTMS stated.
