Marlene McDonald Fired Again

Marlene McDonald has been fired again.

This time Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, who is the political leader of the People’s National Movement (PNM), has revoked McDonald’s position as a deputy political leader of the PNM.

In his Facebook Page, Rowley said, “As The Political Leader of the People’s National Movement, I have today revoked the appointment of Ms Marlene McDonald as Deputy Political Leader of the PNM.”

McDonald was one of four deputy political leaders of the PNM. The others are the THA Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles, Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan and party stalwart Joan Yuille-Williams.

McDonald was removed as minister of public administration on Monday, with the Office of the Prime Minister Rowley would temporarily take up the portfolio until a suitable replacement is found.

McDonald is on bail for number of corruption related charges.

She has already been fired three times from various cabinet positions since 2016.
