A 32-year-old man was shot in Caroni at a convenience store on Tuesday.
Johnathan Jack, of River Branch Road, Caroni, received six gunshot wounds mainly to his legs and arms.
Police reported that around 8.20 pm on Tuesday, acting Cpl Bowrin, PC Babwah and PC Gangadeen responded to a report of shooting via command centre at BP Convenience Store located at Caroni South Bank Road, Kelly Village, Caroni.
Upon arrival, the officers met with Jack who reported that around 7.49 pm, he was at the store when a gunman unknown to him clad in dark clothing wearing a face mask, entered the establishment and fired several shots hitting him several times about his body.
The suspect then escaped in a motor vehicle make, model and registration number unknown in an easterly direction along the Caroni South Bank Road. Jack was conveyed to the Mt. Hope Medical Complex by EHS personnel where he remains warded in a stable condition.
