POLICE have detained one man in the murder of a Gasparillo businessman.
The body of Anand Maharaj, the owner of Triple A Rentals, was foung inside a folding bed by police officers on Saturday night. Police said it was found wrapped in plastic at house at St Fabien Road, Gasparillo, around 10pm.
The house, investigators said, was known to conduct foreign exchange transactions.
Maharaj had left his Charles Street, Gasparillo home, around 2pm on Saturday to deliver a vehicle and told relatives he was also going to conduct a foreign exchange transaction.
The owner of the house where the body was found was arrested by police.
