IMMIGRATION offices in Trinidad and Tobago will be closed until April 15.
There will be no passport renewal or other services during this period.
This was announced by Minister of National Security Stuart Young at a virtual press conference on Friday.
He said during the closure, the immigration offices will be upgrading their hard-drives and software programs to bio-metrics identification.
The Minster said immigration will prepare a new system for renewal of passports with names in alphabetical order.
He said there would be provisions in place for emergency passport renewals.
