TALKSHOW host Ian Alleyne says he is still in quarantine at the Caura Hospital despite claiming he was given a letter of discharge.
He went on Facebook on Tuesday evening doing a video showing documents that stated he was discharged.
Alleyne had earlier sent a pre-action protocol letter to Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram via his attorney Gerald Ramdeen.
The letter stated that Alleyne was tested on four separate occasions at the Caura Hospital where he has been in quarantine after returning from Florida on March 15 and saying that he was Covid-19 positive.
He entered quarantine on March 24.
In the letter, Ramdeen said Alleyne’s first test was inconclusive, a second one positive with the last two being negative.
Ramdeen said he will institute judicial review proceedings against decision to detain Alleyne.
Some of the reliefs sought include that the detention of Alleyne after he tested negative within 24 hours was unlawful, illegal and unreasonable and that he be released immediately.
