HEAVY rainfall affected several facilities of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) operations mainly in north Trinidad and parts of Tobago.
According to WASA, the facilities locations in the north are: Tompire, Matura, Quare, Guanapo, Aripo, La Pastora, Mc David, Caura, Acono, L&N, Las Cuevas, Rincon, La Fillette, and Blanchisseuse.
In Tobago, the affected facilities are at: Hillsborough West, Courland, Highlands Road and Kings Bay.
At 6 pm on Tuesday, WASA stated that status of those facilities were “High turbidity and clogged screens caused by flooded rivers arising from heavy rainfall.”
Trinidad and Tobago remain under a yellow level weather alert until Wednesday at 4 pm.
The Ministry of Rural Development and local Government reported four flooding incidents, five fallen trees and three landslides on Tuesday at 7 pm.
