HARDWARE stores, bookstores and art supply stores will be allowed to open from next week during the State of Emergency in place to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
In a release on Saturday, Minister of Health Terence Deyalsingh made the changes pursuant to Regulation 3(10) (ao) of the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021.
Bookstores and art supplies stores are allowed to be open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Hardware stores are to be closed on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays. They are allowed to be opened from 8am to 4pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8am to 2pm on Friday and from 8am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
The changes have been made in light to the Caribbean Examination Council exams and the Secondary Entrance Examination scheduled for July 1.
