AS the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions continue to add a pinch on the pockets of consumers, the Supermarkets Association Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) says it has noticed inflation levels increasing.
SATT President Rajiv Diptee on Tuesday spoke to ie News about reports on increase in prices on the shelves of supermarkets.
He said demand and supply shortages as a result of the pandemic and other factors have caused increasing prices.
Diptee said the association and its members were working on locating alternative brands and suppliers in a bid to address shortfalls.
