FORMER Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith says that the politics of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is causing hate and division in the population of Trinidad and Tobago.
And the former top cop intends to use his leadership skills to build and unite citizens of T&T instead of dividing and conquering.
In a video statement on Thursday, Griffith continued his strong statements against the prime minister.
Griffith said, “As every poll is showing, this type of politics is dying as the people want more. They want inclusion. They want empowerment. They want a transformation which is paramount in my mind.
“I have no intention to cause hate, bitterness as we have seen others do in their zeal for political success.”
Griffith said Dr Rowley continues to behave in an unbecoming manner even to his very own supporters, lambasting women, using hateful language to union leaders, calling others fools, idiots and imps.
Griffith said, “I feel sorry for Keith Rowley, I feel pity for Keith Rowley, a man who has destroyed his legacy even amongst his most hard-core party people and this is why I would use my leadership skills to build and unite the country.”
The former police commissioner had said he has already become involved in politics and that information about political interference in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) will be revealed in due course.
