COMMISSIONER of Police Gary Griffith will be out of the country until October 31.
He will also undergo a medical check-up when he is abroad.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Friday stated that Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence and Investigations), Mc Donald Jacob, will act as Commissioner of Police in Griffith’s absence.
Griffith’s wife Nicole and his son Gary Griffith III are currently in Ireland.
The top cop had indicated on September 29 that he was going on vacation to Ireland.
Griffith subsequently cancelled his vacation.
This will be Griffith’s first vacation since taking up the post of police commissioner in 2018.
