POLICE Commissioner Gary Griffith says he will reapply for the job of top cop.
He said, “I refuse to stay down, I refuse to surrender, I refuse to walk away.”
Speaking at a police press conference on Tuesday, Griffith challenged all who think they may be better fit to lead the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) including social media commentators to apply for the post of CoP.
Griffith who stated he was again offering his service defended his abilities saying he has been demonized by demons themselves.
Griffith said, “For those who have been telling me for the past three years, what I can do and what I should do, what I am supposed to be doing, this is your chance because very soon there would be new applications for commissioner of police.
“I ask you to apply because for three years, you have been telling me what I should and should not do. Let us see if you are better qualified, better experienced and better trained whether you have what it takes.”
He added, “I am a fighter and I will fight to defend each and every law abiding citizen in this country. I will be a patriot to this country until I die.”
The hatred for police service and him by some was the main reason why he needed to reapply for the top cop post, Griffith said.
And he thanked all who supported him and the police service since his tenure as CoP.
