Friday’s Weather: Cloudy with Rain

FORECAST: No School today and an Orange Level Weather Alert with riverine levels rising means it’s going to be a wet day with flooding in some areas.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service stated that today will be mostly cloudy with periods of showers or rain over broad areas.

There is also a very high (70% to 80%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity during the morning period. Conditions are expected to gradually settle towards afternoon/early evening despite few lingering showers and the risk of an isolated thunderstorm.

Gusty winds and street/flash flooding are likely near heavy downpours! Adverse Weather Alert #4 – ORANGE LEVEL is in effect! Riverine Flood Alert #1 – ORANGE LEVEL is in effect!

The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Partly cloudy with intermittent, light to moderate showers and a slight chance of a heavier shower or thunderstorm.


Seas are moderate with waves up to two metres in open waters and below one metre in sheltered areas.
