FOOD and nutrition security, climate change and fintech are some of the topics to be discussed at the upcoming Caribbean Food and Beverage Conference 2023.
Others are energy and energy efficiency and policy planning in the food service. Inaugural in nature, the conference is being hosted by the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) in collaboration with the Caricom Private Sector Organization (CPSO) and the Caribbean Supermarket Association (CSA).
“Heading towards 25 by 25” is the theme for the conference scheduled for June 28 to June 30.
SATT’s President Rajiv Diptee said the theme was a poignant reflection of the immediate urgency gripping Trinidad and Tobago as well as the region.
“The conference design is one that is tailored to inspire national and regional narratives when we consider pragmatic approaches to the profile of the challenges facing the value chain,” he said in a media release last week.
He said the public was welcome to be part of the discussion that will also be streamed live.
The line-up of confirmed speakers from various organisations include Diptee, Dr Patrick Antoine, Dr Marissa Gowrie, Navin Dookeran, John Outridge, Reshma Advani-Rojas, Stacey Barran and Chef Bridgette.
The moderator for all panel discussions is Samantha Best.
