Flood Victims Get 6,000 Meals

AS flood relief efforts are ongoing, more than 6,000 meals have already been provided to flood victims either stranded in their homes or gravely affected by flood waters.

SEWA TT in a report on Wednesday morning, thanked all individuals, partners and sponsors for their support over the past three days in bringing relief to the many still affected.

Numerous rescues have been done and 6,009 meals distributed in Bamboo #1, #2 and #3, Spring Village, Valsayn South, Las Lomas to La Paille, Chin Chin, Sangre Grande, Penal,  Debe, Woodland, Barrackpore, Plum Mitan, Mayaro and Caparo.

With 135 volunteers, SEWA TT through coordinated efforts with government officials and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) and support from other organisations provided 1,500 meals on Sunday, 1, 759 meals on Monday and 2,750 meals on Tuesday.
