A Felicity farmer dies after being stung by bees.
Dillraj Lalloo, 56, was attacked by bees when he went to clear a piece of agricultural land on Friday.
His son Kevin said it was a routine job that his father was doing while brushing cutting lands of former Caroni (1975) Limited know as #7 Caroni Estate located west of Felicity.
He said his father was attacked by a swarm and rushed to the Chaguanas Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
Lalloo, better known a Rock, throughout the Felicity community, leaves to mourn his wife and three children. He lived at Tahal Street.
The cancer survivor was a supporter of the United National Congress and known for his vociferousness during meetings.
In expressing his condolences, UNC MP Dr Roodal Moonilal said, “He was a great loyal warrior of the UNC. He will be missed.
“He was a companionate soul who stood tall in the struggle for equality, justice and national unity.
“I knew him from my trade union days as a devoted soldier of the working class struggle.
“May his journey be free of obstacles and hindrance.”
