Fake Notice of Unpaid Tickets

THE public is being warned about messages advising people about unpaid traffic tickets.
The warning comes from the Trinidad and Tobago Judiciary which stated in a public notice on Tuesday, that some persons have received such messages which include a fake URL link and CourtPay page (https://ttlawcourts.cc/?gflh=pyjUC).

“Please be advised that this page is a phishing attempt and not generated from the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago. The Judiciary advises that the appropriate steps are being taken to investigate the origins of this scam,” the notice stated.
It further stated, “New traffic ticket payments for fixed penalty notices, unless contested at the District Courts and subject to a court ordered payment, can only be made through the Ministry of Works and Transport and not the CourtPay portal of the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago.”

The public is also being reminded that  legitimate CourtPay transactions can only be conducted through the CourtPay portal at courtpay.ttlawcourts.org.
