THE Environmental Management Authority (EMA) says that music trucks of political parties do not require a noise variation for motorcades.
In a release on Monday it noted:
The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) is advising organisers of political campaigns that a Noise Variation is not required from the EMA for motorcades with music trucks.
Arising from guidelines issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service at a Media Conference on Monday 20th July 2020, the EMA contacted the office of the Commissioner of Police to address this discrepancy and ensure consensus in communicating to the public that a Noise Variation from the EMA is NOT one of the requirements for the use of a music truck.
