TRINIDAD and Tobago disc jockeys DJ Anna and Ultra Simmo as well as comedian Ro’dey The Entertainer will be starring in a new Los Angeles sitcom that will be aired next year.
This was confirmed in a Facebook post by DJ Anna (Anna-Leesa Ramnarine) on Thursday.
She said she was starring in the LA-based sitcom House out of Order.
DJ Anna plays a Trinidad character called Lisa and also in the cast is her co-deejay Ultra Simmo (Jordon Simmons) and Ro’dey The Entertainer (Rodell Cumberbatch).
She posted, “A few months ago I put this out into the universe…and here I am today, in Los Angeles, completing my first day of rehearsal and Table Reads for Episode One and Two! I’m so excited to be able to work with the world famous Producer/Writer/Director @bentleyevans who was co creator and showrunner for the Jamie Foxx Show and showrunner for the show ‘Martin’ on Fox etc. Can’t wait for y’all to see this TV Show! I’m playing a character called ‘Lisa’ who is TRINIDADIAN #represent p.s. so proud to do this with my fellow trinis Ultra Simmo and Ro’dey.”
