A WOMAN who hit her husband on the head with a glass bottle was reprimanded and discharged when she appeared in court.
The 41-year-old hairdresser from Chaguanas appeared before Senior Magistrate Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Tuesday stated that she was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm by WPC Yorke.
According to police reports, on March, 28, around 12.10 pm a man was at a friend’s home at Xavier Street, Chaguanas, when his wife entered the premises and struck him with a glass bottle to his head.
The Gender-Based Violence Unit conducted an investigation into the matter, which resulted in the woman’s arrest.
The investigation was supervised by Supt Claire Guy-Alleyne, acting ASP Bridglal, Insp Hospedales and acting Cpl Jagroop.
