CHAGUANAS – DANA Alleyne, the sister of Crime Watch presenter Ian Alleyne, has been rescued by police after being held against her will by a friend.
Police were called to an apartment at Biljah Road, Chaguanas after neighbours reported a hearing a gunshot around 6 p.m. on Friday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to the friend of Alleyne who came out brandishing a gun.
Police officers shot him in the leg and he was taken to the hospital when he remains under guard.
Investigators said that Alleyne was taken to a private medical facility where she was being examined.
Investigations are continuing.
