However, on her Facebook page on Tuesday, Pierre announced her departure. She was announced as the new manager on August 27, following Phillip Spooner’s departure.

She posted: “Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues

“It was a short innings but today I announce my departure from Cricket West Indies (CWI).

“I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my contributions to the regional and international cricket landscape in my brief time at the organisation.

In a letter obtained by AZP News, the General Counsel/Corporate Secretary of CWI Alanna Medford-Singh told board members that Pierre’s employment was terminated as of November 22, 2024.

The letter stated: “Following a review of her performance, conduct and alignment with CWI core values, it was concluded that Ms Pierre did not meet the required standards for said role.”

It added, “As such, her employment was terminated as of November 22, 2024, in keeping with the terms of her probationary period.

“The decision was in full compliance with the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Code, which requires only 24 hours’ notice for termination during probation.”
