HOMICIDE detectives were still trying to piece together to find out who ordered the hit on San Fernando businesswoman Veronica De Leon on Saturday.
She was killed after being ambushed as she left her home in her Range Rover. Police are yet to recover the white AD wagon the suspects used in the act.
The 43-year-old woman’s husband Nestor De Leon died from Covid-19 in January. He owned De Leon Bananas Ltd.
Several of her posts on Facebook before she died suggested a feud over her husband’s estate with his relatives.

AK 47 Seized
AN AK-47 assault rifle was one of the firearms seized by police over the weekend.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) issued several releases on Sunday giving accounts of the finds and arrests.
On Sunday, a 21-year-old man, was arrested with a firearm and a quantity of ammunition following a raid at his Sangre Grande home at Vega de Oropouche, Toco Road.
The suspect was allegedly held with a .38 spl revolver with five rounds .38 spl ammunition by police officers attached to the Eastern Division Task Force East and Mounted and Canine Branch.
According to police reports, during the hours of 4 am and 9 am, the team of officers were executing several raids as part of Operation Blue Line Exercises, in which they targeted six priority offenders within the Sangre Grande district.
Rifle found in Sangre Grande
Also in Sangre Grande, an assault rifle and a round of ammunition were seized by police following a report of Robbery with Aggravation in Coalmine, Sangre Grande, last Friday.
Officers of the Eastern Division are currently following several leads to apprehend two male suspects who fled from the scene.
According to reports, at 10.15 am, a female proprietor was conducting business at a food establishment when a man entered and announced a holdup.
Moments later, the woman and her colleagues saw another man another masked man with a large firearm in his hands running towards them.
The employees later escaped unharmed by running through a back exit and the police notified and responded.
Upon arrival, responding officers attached to the Eastern Division Task Force recovered one AK-47 rifle together with one round of 7.62 ammunition.

70-year-old held with arms and ammunition
And in Penal, a Ramset Powder Fastening System Nail Gun, 128 rounds .22 Ammunition, five rounds of 12-gauge cartridges and one round of 16-gauge cartridge were seized.
The seizure took place also on Friday during Operation Blue Line exercises in the Penal and Oropouche districts.
In the first incident, police officers attached to the South-Western Division, executed a search warrant for firearms and ammunition at the Charlo Village, Penal home of a 70-year-old male suspect.
At that location, police officers allegedly found and seized the items. The suspect was immediately arrested and is facing firearm and ammunition possession charges.
In a separate incident, police officers arrested a 19-year-old male labourer from Morne Diablo who was wanted in connection with a report of malicious damage.
Those exercises included personnel from the South-Western Divisional Gang and Intelligent Unit, Task Force, Penal Police Station and Criminal Investigations Department and the Mounted and Canine Branch.
