USING a Pyramid of Contagion, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh sought to prove how easily the Covid-19 virus could spread from person to person.
He said, “It just takes one person to infect two people. Then two people will infect six and then six will infect eight, then ten. This is how the pyramid of contagion is started.”
Deyalsingh said, “If we multiply by ten in public, move from one to ten, from ten to 1,000 and that is how fast will spread and break the health care system.
He said, “In an effort to achieve the objective, the strategy is to stay home. So if the person at the top of the pyramid stays home, then the ten people will not be infected and start their own pyramids of infectivity.”
Deyalsingh was speaking at the virtual news conference on Tuesday.
