A PERSON who recently travelled to Tobago from Trinidad has been tested positive for Covid-19.
The individual was tested in Trinidad but journeyed to Tobago before the test results were received. The tests results were received while the person was in Tobago and was immediately isolated.

On Saturday, the Division of Health, Wellness and Family development, Tobago House of Assembly issued a media statement on the issue.

The Division stated, “The person is stable and currently receiving treatment at the Covid-19 Treatment Facility at Fort King George. Contact tracing is ongoing and close, primary contacts have been quarantined and are being tested for Covid-19.”
The Division also stated that the Office of the County Medical health Officer of Health received a report of passenger who arrived to Tobago on the inter-island ferry on Saturday exhibiting flu-like symptoms.

“The individual has since been medically examined and was not found to be exhibiting any flu-like symptoms,” the division said.
The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) is ensuring that all procedures and protocols are in place for dealing with Covid-19 but citizens must take personal responsibility for thier own wellness the release added.
