A 32-year-old Cocorite man has been charged for a murder at a bus shed on November 19.
Anthony Caruth was expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Monday charged with the murder of Odell Samuel.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that Caruth was charged after advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC, on Sunday.
It stated that Samuel, 27, of Diego Martin, was standing at a bus shed along the Audrey Jeffers Highway in the vicinity of Movie Towne when a white motor vehicle pulled up alongside and a gunman fired several shots at him. He died at the scene.
One male suspect was arrested in connection with the incident on November 21, by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region One. Investigations were spearheaded by Snr Supt Singh, Supt Douglas, and supervised by acting ASP Bridglal, Insp Mongroo and acting Insp Ramsumair, all of HBI, Region One.
Caruth was charged with the offence by WPC Clarke, also of HBI Region One.
