Charged for Killing Husky in Tobago

CHARGED with killing a Siberian Husky in Tobago, a 24-year-old man was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.

Ray Hinds appeared virtually in the Scarborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The charge was laid by WPC Jordan of the Shirvan Road Police Station.

Hinds, of Sherwood Park, Carnbee, is due to reappear in court on March 22.

The case against Hinds is that dog’s owner secured his eight-month-old Siberian Husky, valued $5,000, in his fenced property at Nelson Lane, Sherwood Park, Carnbee and went away.

When he returned home later that day,  he observed the dog missing and a hole dug underneath the fence.

Upon receiving certain information, the owner went to the home of Hinds where he allegedly found the dog’s body in a bag.

A report was made at the Shirvan Police Station and Hinds was interviewed by police.

The news of the dog’s death has been making its rounds on social media with many commenting that the dog seemed to be getting more sympathy than humans.
