Chaguanas Man in Court for Arson Murder

A Chaguanas man is expected to appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate on Friday on the charges of murder and arson.

A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that Moses Pesnell, 33, of  Richard Lane, Enterprise, Chaguanas was charged in connection with the death of  35-year-old Patricia Marie Phillip.

The charge came following the advice from Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard SC.

Phillip, who was from Branche Trace Enterprise, Chaguanas burnt remains were found at Manzanilla Mayaro Road, Manzanilla, on March 3.

Reports stated Pesnell was arrested by PC Samad after he surrendered on that same day at the Chaguanas Police Station.

He was charged on March 10 by acting Cpl Thompson of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region Two Office.

The investigation was supervised by ASP Douglas, Insp John, Insp Ramjag (Legal Officer) and Insp Sylvester, all of the HBI Region Two.
