AT 82-YEARS-OLD, Linda McCartha Sandy-Lewis (Calypso Rose) is not letting up on her musical career.
Rose who celebrated her birthday in New York on Wednesday posted on her Facebook page that next month, the world will get to hear the first release from her latest album Forever.
The single, Watina, will feature Grammy-award winning musician Carlos Santana.
It is expected to be released on May 20.
In her Facebook post, Rose told fans, “I feel good and I thank God to have kept me strong all these years. I miss you my fans all over the world and I think a lot about you, all the time. But don’t worry next month you’ll get a taste of me with ‘Watina’ my first song of my new album Forever. Stay strong be blessed enjoy life!”
The Forever album is expected to be released at the end of August. Soca superstar Machel Montano and Jamaican musician Mr Vegas are also some of the other artistes that will be featured on it.
