AKIEL ALEXANDER aka Birdboy is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today.
Police received advice from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Tricia Huddlin-Cooper on Tuesday to charge the 21-year-old man from Santa Cruz with murder, possession of firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of firearm to endanger life and ammunition to endanger life.
The accused was arrested by PC Villaroel of the San Juan Police Station in connection with the death of Christian Perez, which occurred on May 21, 2021 in Santa Cruz.
The enquiry was supervised by ASP Douglas, Insp Hosein, Insp Ramjag (Legal Officer) and Insp Sylvester of the Homicide Bureau Region II Office.
