THE man who gave instructions to seal the only escape entrance to the 36-inch pipeline that trapped four men inside should be charged with murder.
This is the declaration made by social activist Phillip Edward Alexander who met grieving family members of four missing divers since the incident occurred on Friday.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Alexander stated, “(Name called) of Paria Fuel needs to be charged for murder. Those divers were still alive when he gave the order to seal that pipe.”
The employee was named by Michael Kurban, one of the rescue divers, as the one who gave the order to seal the pipe and not allow Kurban and his divers to search the pipeline again for the four divers.
Christopher Boodram was the only one to be pulled out by Kurban and his team as missing were Rishi Nagassar, Fyzal Kurban – Michael Kurban’s father, Yusuf Henry and Kazim Ali Jr.
On Sunday night, Kurban detailed his rescue operation saying that he and his divers would still have had time to save the other four, including his father Fyzal Kurban had that order not been given.
