THE shooting that took place at the Piarco International Airport on Thursday is “completely unacceptable” says Prime Minister Stuart Young.
He said, “This is something that is being taken very seriously as it should by law enforcement authorities.”

Young was speaking to the media during a tour of the Sangre Grande Hospital on Thursday.
He also said, “I don’t think this should affect tourists or foreigners coming to visit Trinidad and Tobago. It is a very unfortunate incident that should shake up any law-abiding citizen in Trinidad and Tobago.”
Young said those who have to deal with the situation were doing their jobs and also took the opportunity to mention the People’s National Movement (PNM) manifesto and its proposed crime-fighting measures.
Security has been heightened at the airport and continued measures will be put in place , the Airports Authority also stated on Thursday.
