POLITICAL Leader of the People National Movement (PNM) Dr Keith Rowley is urging citizens to come out and vote in the August 10 general elections.
He was speaking with reporters on Friday, after filing nomination papers to contest the Diego Martin West seat in the upcoming polls.
Rowley said, “Many people around the world would love to have the opportunity and we have it and I hope that we have good weather.”
He added, “We have peace and safety and security in the country and the democratic process so I’m asking them to come out and vote and when they do so, vote wisely.”
Rowley has represented the Diego Martin West constituency since 1991.
The United National Congress (UNC) has selected Marsha Riley-Walker as its representative for Diego Martin West.
