With Nomination Day being today (Friday, April 4, 2025), special voters are reminded that their application to vote also ends today.
The processing of applications from persons eligible to be treated as Special Voters began on March 19.

The Election and Boundaries Commission (EBC) in a public notice advised on the categories of persons who can apply.
Persons eligible to apply as a Special Voter are:
· Members of the protective services
· Members of the Elections and Boundaries Commission
· Returning Officers, Presiding Officers, Polling Agents
· Candidates or spouse of candidates
· Election agents or sub agents
· Electors unable to travel to polling stations due to travel between Trinidad and Tobago
· Patients in medical institutions
· Prisoners
· Members of flight crew of an aircraft
· Offshore workers
· A member of any organisation that the Commission sees fit
