Drifters Maintain Perfect Streak in T&TDA National 501 League

THE Trinidad and Tobago Darts Association (T&TDA) National 501 League saw another thrilling round of action on Tuesday, February 18, with the Drifters continuing their dominant form to remain unbeaten in the A Division.

Drifters Dominate Scorpions
At #36 New Street, Port of Spain, the Drifters extended their winning streak to three matches with an 8-2 victory over newly promoted Scorpions. Despite a valiant effort from Scorpions’ Hector Alzola, who stunned Richard Williams with a 71 average, the Drifters controlled the match, leading 7-2 after singles. Scott Mannette sealed the night’s highlight with a spectacular 118 checkout (triple 18, double 16, double 16), propelling his team to the top of the table with 21 points.

Vikings Bounce Back, E-Z Lines vs. D.O.G.S. Thriller
Jus For Fun Vikings secured second place (19 points) after a commanding 9-1 win over Sea Wolves, despite Adi Mohammed’s upset against David Flook in a singles match streamed live on the T&TDA Facebook group. Meanwhile, the fiery clash between rivals E-Z Lines and D.O.G.S. delivered drama as D.O.G.S. edged a 6-4 win. Raoul Edwards clinched the decisive singles leg, overturning Adam Hepburn’s lead to secure victory. D.O.G.S. now sit third (18 points), while E-Z Lines are fourth (13).

B Division: Snipers Hold Off Bulldogs’ Rally
In the B Division, Jus For Fun Snipers survived a late scare from Bulldogs to claim a 6-4 win. Captain Marc Anton sparked a comeback for Bulldogs, but Snipers held firm to retain first place. Pub House Pirates and Top Shot round out the top three after victories over Triple Vision (7-3) and Random Squad (6-4), respectively.

Next Fixtures
The league resumes on Tuesday, February 25, at 8:30 PM, with a top-of-the-table A Division clash between Drifters and Vikings. E-Z Lines aim to rebound against Scorpions, while B Division teams vie for positioning. Matches remain free and open to the public at #36 New Street, Port of Spain.
