AROUCA – POLICE hold three men in Windy Hill after they stormed a house and robbed the occupant of cash and jewellery during the wee hours of Friday.
Police said three men entered a house at Savannah Drive, Windy Hill, Arima Old Road, Arouca at around 12.05 a.m. on Friday robbed a man of cash and valuables and tried then to take him hostage.
Neighbours saw something suspicious was happening and called the police.
Officers of the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol led by PC Ramroop surrounded the house and the criminals threatened to kill the homeowner.
Police defused the situation and persuaded the three men to surrender. The were in custody at the Arouca Police Station.
