MORE than 30 foreign nationals were detained during a police operation at Crown Point, Tobago.
A Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) release on Sunday stated that 32 foreigners mainly from Venezuela and Dominica were detained the day before during an Operation Slam exercise.
The exercise was held in the Crown Point and Scarborough districts, between 2. 30 am and 9 am.
During the exercise, police proceeded to Chill Out Bar, Crown Point, where they conducted a search and arrested the foreign nationals. They were held pending their immigration status.

One man, a 35-year-old from Tarodale, Ste Madeline, was also arrested on seven outstanding warrants.
The exercise was directed by ACP Hazel and Snr Superintendent Kirk and supervised by ASP Bharath, ASP John and Insp Bacchus, Insp Sterling and involved officers of the Criminal Investigation Department, Canine Unit, Inter-Agency Task Force, Guard and Emergency Branch and Immigration officers.
