IN music history moments, soca star Kes Dieffenthaller shares the stage with international music greats Sting and Shaggy in an inaugural concert on Saturday.
The Wotless singer was part of the first musical festival put together by Shaggy and Sting entitled One Fine Day at the Mann Centre in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
Videos shared on social media show Kes in an energised performance at the concert belting out his popular song Savannah Grass.
Sting and Shaggy were seen taking in the soca music appreciatively in the background.
Kes and Shaggy also joined with Sting while Sting sang Every breath you take, popular song from his previous musical band The Police.
CBS News Philadelphia the media sponsor for the event, reported, “Sting and Shaggy hosted their own music festival right here in Philadelphia. Thousands of people braved the rain for the highly anticipated event. The bass was pounding. The crowd was jamming.
“Smiles all around Saturday night at the inaugural One Fine Day festival at the Mann Center…. The festival featured more than half a dozen artists, including Trinidadian Soca group, Kes.”
Kes the Band has previously collaborated with Jamaican artiste Shaggy whose real name is Orville Richard Burrell. It was Kes first time on stage with British artiste Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner ‘Sting’.
