The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is asking the public for help in identifying the body of a woman discovered at Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, in the vicinity of Peschier Cemetery, on Monday.

In a release on Monday, it stated that the unidentified woman appears to be in her early twenties, is of African descent, dark brown in complexion and of medium build with short, black curly hair.

The body was clad in a pink blouse and dark-coloured underwear.

Anyone with information that can assist in identifying this body can call the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region One Office, at 625-8234 or 624-5230.

All calls are confidential.

The discovery brought back memories of Japanese pannist Asami Nagakiya who was strangled. Her body was found at Queen’s Park West on Ash Wednesday (February 10, 2016).

Her case was closed in March 2016 after Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard, SC, expressed satisfaction that there was enough evidence to conclude that the suspect in her murder David Allen was killed in a police-involved shooting on December 16, 2016.
