THERE will be no school on Friday.
A release from the Ministry of Education on Thursday evening stated that the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service updated its Adverse Weather Alert to Orange Level as the Inter-Tropical Conversion Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect Trinidad and Tobago, with a tropical wave expected on Friday.
It stated that as a safety precaution, based on the weather conditions which have persisted over the last few hours, the projected overnight rainfall, and the present levels of major rivers, all schools in Trinidad will remain closed on Friday.
The releases stated, “Unless a further advisory from the Ministry of Education is issued, schools will re-open Monday, October 31st, 2022, except where clean-up operations in schools may be necessary. In such cases, parents will be advised directly through the school’s principal.”
Minister of Education Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly was crictised on October 6 when she closed schools at 7.08 am that day via Facebook due to an Orange Alert.
