BARATARIA/ SAN JUAN MP Saddam Hosein is calling Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley a coward.

Speaking at the UNC Virtual Report on Monday, Hosein said, “Tonight, I want to tell you, Keith Rowley, you are a coward… it seems as though that you are afraid of (former attorney general Faris Al-Rawi).

He added, “If you were not afraid of Faris Al-Rawi you would have fired Faris Al-Rawi from the time you became aware of this indemnity, from the time that case collapsed, Faris Al-Rawi should have never seen the Cabinet doors again in this country.”

Hosein said that Dr Rowley continued to protect Al-Rawi “because it seems as though, I am not alleging anything, it seems as though Faris probably know something that we don’t know. That’s the only reason why you probably still have the man in your cabinet.”

He added, “But tonight I want to tell Keith Rowley, you are a coward. If you name man, call the election now.”

Hosein’s call comes following the collapse of the bribery case against former UNC attorney general Anand Ramlogan and former senator Gerald Rameen after the State’s main witness Vincent Nelson refused to testify pending the outcome of a civil matter where he is suing the state for breach of an indemnity agreement he signed with Al-Rawi when he was attorney general.

He said that PNM Port of Spain South MP Keith Scotland was the lawyer who represented Nelson when he was initially charged.

Hosein said, “Tonight I want to tell you Mr Scotland, I am not saying that you know anything, if you know anything, pick up your bicycle and ride as fast as you can to the nearest police station and tell them every single thing.”

He said the Cabinet was imploding.

Hosein said, “We are hearing Faris Al-Rawi making a deal with Nelson to keep hush hush and don’t give no information to the UK authorities. And the we hearing a next minister giving information to the UK authorities.”

He added, “And we see Mr Stuart Young went on social media and said, ‘well there is nothing wrong with providing evidence to any law enforcement authority outside of Trinidad and Tobago.'”

Hosein said members of the Cabinet were now whistleblowers.

He said, “One of them, they blowing a whistle on the DPP. The next one blowing a whistle on Nelson. The next one blowing whistle in the UK. And Nelson now blowing whistle in court.”

Hosein said it reminded him of a song by Blaxx called, “Whistle and Horn.”

He said, “Well if Cabinet ministers not whistling is horn.”

Hosein ended his contribution with an acronym used against Finance Minister Colm Imbert: “Look Faris, HYMC – Look how you mashup the case.”
