PARENTS are again being urged to allow their children in the five to 11 age group to have the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine as school is about to resume next month.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh speaking at the Ministry of Health’s virtual Covid-19 update on Wednesday said the final first dose of that vaccine will be given on September 30.
The 43,200 doses of vaccines were a donation from Spain and will expire on October 31.
“Don’t wait until then… Take advantage of the offer now. Don’t wait until it is too late. We don’t know what variant is around the corner. We don’t know what is around the corner with Covid,” Deyalsingh said.
Currently 51.2% of the population is vaccinated against Covid-19.
