FIVE persons aboard a fishing vessel were rescued by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG) on Sunday.
The TTCG in a press release on Monday stated that they received a report of a vessel experiencing engine failure approximately four nautical miles off Macqueripe Bay in Chaguaramas.
Acting on the report, a TTCG asset was dispatched and the vessel was found approximately seven nautical miles off the First Boca where a tow exercise commenced.
The vessel was successfully towed to the TTCG’s headquarters at Staubles Bay, Chaguaramas where the persons on board were medically examined.
