FOUR men have been caught stealing cables belonging to the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).
Police reports indicate that around 2.15 am on Wednesday, officers on patrol in the Tacarigua district, responded to a report of men allegedly stealing TSTT cables at Crown Trace.
Upon arriving at the location, the officers of the North Central Division, Area East, observed four men fitting the description of the suspects with several cutting implements in their possession and a quantity of cables a short distance away.
The suspects, a 37-year-old and 18-year-old both of Princes Town, a 31-year-old of D’Abadie and a 27-year-old of Williamsville, were arrested in connection with the incident.
The exercise was spearheaded by ACP Samaroo, Snr Supt Ramphall, coordinated by ASP Powder, Insp Highly and acting Sgt Pamphille and included officers of the North Central Division Task Force, Area East, a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service stated.
